the message is clear that early development is needed to achieve more which for me is wrong because there talents are not just discovered, talents are nurtured and practiced it is not found in milk or anything it depens on the subject or the person
i don't see anything wrong with this commercial.. i actually like it because it is quite inspirational... why? is there anything wrong with this commercial?
This isn't bad. It just tells you that success happens when a child is well-nurtured and nurturing a child includes feeding him/her well so that he/she could get the right nutrients for his/her body.

on our com ethic class i learned that there is a thin line between persuasive and manipulative. and this ad is manipulative for me on the basis that all of lea salonga's achievements is due to her hard work not because of the milk she drank when she was a baby
There is a distinction between good and bad ads. This one in particular chose a superior role model to depict a forecast or excellent projection of the future of a child if he or she drinks milk of this type of brand. It is a good supplement to nurture a child early development. Although some might perceived it as manipulative, it doesnt mean that it is unethical to produced this kind of caliber ad I might say. I personally like this ad based on the good intent to help nurture a child.
Child development through well cared nourishment is essential in child growth. Choosing the right milk for your baby at an infancy stage is paramount to ensure good health. This ad is an example of how important it is to select the best milk for your child. At the end of the day, you feel better as parents to watch your child grow healthy and strong. Hence, the future is predictable with superb outcome.
In contrast to some of the opposing comments made, I personally think that choosing Leah Salonga's career path which begins at her early age to present, is an excellent way to communicate to the audience that anyone who chose this product to nurture an infant can achieved the same result or even better. It is not in any way unethical nor to decieved any viewers for that matter. In fact, this ad should be recognized as a good example for other advertisers, and it should be emulated as such. Granted that Lea's success was due to her hard work and dedication, but there is a good and close relevancy in dealing with nurturing concept at an early stage of life. This is a great ad.
