This commercial should be Spanked!
It is showing that blind dates are that easy and an accepted way of meeting friends.
In this dangerous world of ours whrein many crimes have been reported aside from rape, sexual abuse, kidnapped teenagers,Advertisers should really study very well how their commercials could influence the minds of the young and the innocent.

This commercial degrades women.
It was clearly shown that ONLY women with good Physique is the one acceptable.
Men should be able to understand the true meaning of beauty.
That is why nowadays, not many relationships last, because men in general have the understanding that they should look for a sexy & beautiful woman. This commercial supports that wrong ideals of men, That's why This commercial should be SPANK'D!

That's so mean... It degrades women who are overweight.. No wonder people have the wrong perception of beauty. Have you guys seen Dove evolution? Search for it on youtube. It will open your eyes to reality.

This commercial isn't funny at all. Its trying to be hilarious at the expense of overweight ladies. I agree with the previous comment that most people have a twisted perception of beauty, and this commercial certainly adds fuel to the fire. Having a "model's" body doesn't mean you're a good date or an "eyeball" partner in this commercial's case. It may seem funny on the surface but this is one insulting ad. This ad must be SPANKED!

The commercial tried their hardest to be funny by injecting two female, one is chubby, and the other one is sexy in which both were wearing pink clothes. However, the advertisers failed to realised that they have offended many female gender who are on the opposite spectrum of sexy. Another point is that using a sexy model to capture the audience interest in purchasing a cookie might not be the best option for the general public to buy the Bingo product that they are trying to sell. Intead, it can be perceived that women that has good figures are easy pray for the men who are sexually hungry, and it is not the cookies mind you! Finally, it is a poor taste to even imply that bingo cookies can get a male a sexy blind date, afterall, if you look at the two male lead role in the commercial, it leaves women with poor choice. They can do better than this!

There is a discriminatory acts portrayed in this ad pertaining to female gender. Being fat is not necessarilly wrong to be chosen to be in a commercial. As a matter of fact, in other countries such as the USA, there is a huge demand for huge model in a particular commercial settings. Being prejudicial in concocting the commercial can harm your ads with lesser audience who might be your die hard customers!

It takes an enormous courage to defy the odds! The producer of this ad took a chance to create a scenario using characters with contrasting physique! But were the story failed to capture the heart of the audience is when they chose a sexy woman as the focal point of the bingo commercial. Women in particular were aghast to this scene with outburst of discontent and feeling of being used and left-out! It felt degrading and betrayal to womanhood as a whole. This ad created a wrong perception to conceptualized the main objective of the commercial. Instead they made lots of enemies women in particular.

In fairness to the other lady wearing pink (not sexy), how about if the advertiser reversed the role, and make her the leading lady. Surprises can happen and the outcome can be advantageous for them. In addition, it will lessen the outcry of the female gender with the same physique! Money will pour in once this criterion is given a chance to be a reality. Whoever produced this segment, please give it some thought to have balance and equality.

@ joseph:

yes! that is a good idea. with that kind of abruption, people will become more interested in the ad. the bad thing about the ad is not only that it was discriminatory... it may also cause women who were chubby to feel lower self-esteem. this ad not only attacked the way they looked like but also how they felt about themselves. hence, it is unethical and deserves a hard spank.

I say:

That's an interesting insight. In addition to the ad's discriminatory content, it also shows that blind dates are risky since you never know who you might meet up with.
